More Info versus Request Application

When you use the "More Info" button option in the results template, the button will connect to YOUR web page. That should be a web page which you design and place on your web site and should encourage the consumer who has just visited your web page to contact you. You specify the web page address for that web page on the control panel that we provide with the on-line software.

Generally, we think that most subscribers will want to use the "Request Application" option which Compulife provides as an alternative. The "Request Application" button triggers an email through PHP code. The Request Application will gather information from the client and email that information to you at the email address that you specify on your control panel.

What is really nice about the Request Application button is that it also passes along the details about the specific product that the consumer was looking at when they clicked the button. The email that you will receive includes the information entered on the client screen before the quote was run. In addition, the Request asks the visitor to your web site for their name and phone number (these are must complete fields) and for their email address (optional).

In the Sample Web Site that we have provided, for the Request Application templates, please feel free to run one of those template and then click on the Request Application button and fill in the form. The email request from the Sample Web Site will come to Compulife and we will forward it back to you (make sure you give us your email address on the form). That will let you see what you would be receiving at your email address if you choose that option for your web site.

Generally, you will want to use the "More Info" button if your server does not support PHP code. You may also elect to use that option to pass the client to YOUR web site to ensure that the client information that you are gathering, is being gathered on your web site only and not being passed through a third party server. Some subscribers worry that someone other than themselves may be looking at the leads that their web site is generating. The "More Info" button resolves that issue by sending the client back to your site.
